Marco Donati
Emanuela, Elisabeta and Marco Donati

Marco is the fifth generation of his family in Mezzocorona to work the Rotaliano vineyard, home of Trentino’s signature Teroldego grape. He is the cellar and export manager, his wife Emanuela manages the vineyards. They have expanded their properties into many small sites in a wide radius around Mezzocorona, where they’ve identified the perfect grape for the location and planted it!

The Donati wines are characterized by soft tannins, good structure, beautiful fruit and balanced acidity. All are excellent with food. Tightly controlled vineyard practice  maintains the integrity of the soil and the vines.
“Good wine is born in the vineyard.”
                                       Marco Donati

TRENTINO Mezzocorona
Gewurtztraminier 2009 (375ml)

Very aromatic dry white wine

Muller Thurgau ‘11 (375ml)

Another very aromatic white; a definite expression of the vine; wonderful with Asian flavors.

Nosiola ‘11 "Sole Alto"

A native varietal; name means hazelnut but the wine is dry, crisp with lovely tropical fruit notes; wonderful substitute for Pinot Grigio

Pinot Nero '11 "Centa"

A true Pinot Nero--you know what you're drinking

Marzemino ‘11 "Orme"

“Eccellente Marzimino” says Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Act II, Scene V; a native varietal with a long history in Mezzocorona

Sangue di Drago ‘06

“Dragon’s Blood,” 100% Teroldego Riserva; of course there’s a story. Signature grape of Trentino and the Donati Winery

Syrah '11 "Costa di Sauri"

"mouth Watering"

Teroldego Rotaliano ‘10

Violets and raspberry, a wine with strong nerve and good character! Not too tannic, well balanced

Vino Del Maso ‘06

Teroldego, Lagrein, Merlot blend. A crowd pleaser – great introduction to the varietals of Trentino
